SATURDAYS (February 4,11,18 & March 11)
FROM 11AM-12:30PM EASTERN (US)
Do you struggle with being connected with your Beloved Self and with the competing parts inside of you (the ones who battle and cause tension, uncertainty, sadness, and anxiety?) Do you long to tap into your own inner wisdom and connect more deeply with your most authentic self? Do you long to be more emotionally aware and attuned? If so, “The One Inside Coaching Group '' may be for you.
We’ll use Tammy Sollenberger’s book The One Inside on the journey to rediscovering our Beloved Selves. Whether you’d like to become more emotionally aware, feel overwhelmed by seemingly conflicting parts of the self, or often feel stressed by indecision, The One Inside Coaching Group can help access your own inner wisdom - and your most authentic Beloved Self.
The group will meet for an hour and a half for four consecutive weeks online via Zoom.
Some of the components of the coaching group will be…
…a guided discussion of the book, The One Inside by Tammy Sollenberger.
…live customized coaching.
…Parts Mapping of the parts that arise as we go through the book and discussion.
It's best if you have the book prior to the first session.
We'll meet online via Zoom. You'll receive a Zoom link once you submit payment.
This is to cover the cost of my time to prepare, facilitate and administer the group.
The cost is $188. This averages out to about $47 per session.
We'll meet once a week for four weeks.
An hour and a half.
Saturdays from 11am-12:30PM Eastern (US) on February 4, 11, 18 and March 4th
The first 20-30 minutes will be a facilitated discussion of the book, The One Inside by Tammy Sollenberger and some insight into the IFS Model. We'll then transition to more experiential work with a guided meditation. Following the meditation, we will spend an hour doing a Parts-Mapping session with live customized group coaching. Each participant who wants to will have at least one opportunity to go deeper with one of their parts with the support of one-on-one coaching in the group setting. We'll end each group session with a time for questions and debrief.
You can share as much or as little as you want with the group. All who want to will have an opportunity to share.
The group will be led by Dr. Tim Fortescue, a Certified Life Coach. Tim has worked within a ministry context for the last 20 years as a bridge-builder between various cultural and religious groups. He has taught cross-cultural communication at the adjunct level, done development work for a non-profit, and in the last several years has become a certified life coach and engaged in formal training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Tim has almost 100 hours of IFS training and has had an incredible experience using this model with those he coaches. Tim is currently taking the Stepping Stones IFS training, as well as a Level 1 Training through the IFS Institute. Tim will ask questions that help identify trailheads that can direct you to a greater understanding and deeper compassion for your internal landscape as well as lead a stimulating discussion.
Whether you’re a practitioner new to IFS or wanting to deepen into the IFS model or if you just want to strengthen your connection to your Beloved Self, this group will lead you on a journey to better understanding your parts as you get to know the One Inside--your Beloved or True Self. You'll also enhance your understanding of the IFS Model and get to see it practiced firsthand.
Sessions will be recorded. When we have live demonstrations of one-on-one coaching with parts work, the "client" will have the option to have the recording paused. You will have access to the recordings for one month after the last session. Recordings will only be sent to those who attend the session.
I realize that life happens and that you might need to miss a session. I appreciate a heads up if you're going to miss a week. Unfortunately, you aren't able to make up missed sessions and if you miss a week, you won't be sent a link to the recording for that week. This is to honor the vulnerability and privacy of the participants.
The purpose of parts-mapping is to identify the strategic or protective "parts" and exiled "parts" in our individual system. Everyone has parts and they develop to help us survive. It's important to connect with them to increase self-awareness, self-compassion, and healing. Parts-mapping can also serve to identify the relationship between the parts (ie. the part of you that wants to explore a new career path and the part that wants you to stay safe and secure in the job you have).
The concept of "Self" is taken from the Internal Family Systems model (IFS) and describes the essence of you, underneath all of your protective and defensive adaptations and strategies--Self is you when you first came into the world, and who you are when you're feeling calm, compassionate, creative and connected. This concept can be framed in many different ways: Buddha nature, True Self, Core, Essence, etc. From a Christian perspective, I like to think of "Self" as My Beloved Self --The beloved child of God I was created to be.
